Pakistani cricketers can play the BPL until February 8th. Previously, I was asked to return home by February 2nd. According to sources, Pakistani players can participate in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) until February 8th.

However, the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) only applies to those not participating in the upcoming exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in Quetta.


Players participating in the demonstration game on February 5 were asked to return home on February 2.
Previously, all players were advised to return home on February 2nd, 11 days before the start of PSL 8 in Multan. PCB says it has withdrawn players from playing PSL 8 at the franchise’s request.

It’s worth mentioning here that some of the best players from the national T20 team including Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed and Naseem Shah will be taking part in BPL 2023 bcz of Pakistani cricketers can play the BPL until February 8th.

The PSL 8 Opening Ceremony will be held at Multan on February 13, before the opening of the tournament between 2021 winners Multan Sultans and defending champions Lahore Qalandars. The closing ceremony and final will be held in Lahore on 19 March, as well as the playoffs.


Lahore Qalandars will try to be the first team to win back-to-back titles. Meanwhile, Islamabad United aim to become the most successful team in the competition as they aim to win three titles.
Rawalpindi will play 11 matches, Karachi and Lahore will play 9 matches each and Multan will play 5 home matches.
