Pakistani Pacer star Shaheen Shah Afridi on Wednesday cited the “evil eye” as the reason he and Haris Rauf were injured. The lanky left-arm point guard – Pakistan’s main catcher in all three modes – was ruled out of the series following a knee injury during the T20 World Cup final in Australia earlier this month.

At an event in Lahore Qalandars held today, Shaheen was asked about his and Rauf’s unsuitability. To this, Afridi – Pakistan’s top catcher in all three – said: “Me and Rauf were not a match, we were mesmerized.”
