The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan, has chosen to host an exhibition match between two Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams as part of the preparations for the upcoming eighth edition.

According to details, the newly appointed captain of Zalmi Babar Azam will be joined by all-star Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, Dane Aziz and Saim Ayub. While the Gladiators team will include captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Umar Akmal, Iftikhar Ahmed, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain.
In particular, the chairman of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi, has announced that PSL 8 matches will be held at Bugti Stadium in Quetta, subject to the permission of the police. However, Sethi later announced that Bugti Stadium in Quetta did not have time to fully prepare to host PSL matches, but the PCB would host some exhibition matches in the city.
Thus, the gladiators will compete in front of their home audience for the first time on February 5, which is celebrated as Kashmir Day in the country.

It should be mentioned that the next eighth edition of the PSL will begin on February 13 with defending champion Lahore Qalandars taking on former champions Multan Sultans as the drawdown. The final of the competition will take place on March 19 in Lahore.
