Peshawar Zalmi Bowlers Hold Their Nerve To Record A 2-Run Win In The 2nd Match Of The Pakistan Super League 2023 Despite the valiant efforts of ace Pakistan players Shoaib Malik and captain Imad Waseem, Zalmi won by 2 runs. Throughout the match, 390 runs were scored.
Wahab Riaz sent Karachi opener Sharjeel Khan back for a golden duck on the second ball of the innings, chasing 200 runs to win. In the subsequent five overs, Karachi lost three more wickets and reached 46/4 in 6.1 overs, looking completely out of the run chase. Shoaib Malik, Pakistan’s most experienced batsman, and captain Imad Waseem, however, defied the Zalmi bowlers and played them to their will. For the fifth wicket, the two middle-order batsmen put together a partnership of 131 runs in 74 balls. However, Kings lost the game when Shoaib Malik was run out after scoring 52 runs in the 19th over.
After scoring 80 runs in just 47 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes, Imad Wasim remained unbeaten. James Neesham and Wahab Riaz each took two wickets for Peshawar Zalmi, and Salman Irshad took one.
Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings in the second match of the Pakistan Super League 2023 with a score of 199/5 in the first innings thanks to the explosive batting of Tom Kohler-Cadmore and the responsible fifty of captain Babar Azam.
Captain Babar Azam and Tom Kohler-Cadmore combined to score 139 runs in 81 balls for the third wicket after opener Mohammad Haris (10) and number three Saim Ayub (1) were run out in the second over.
After Babar scored 68 runs with 46 balls, including 7 fours and a six, the fantastic partnership was ended when Imran Tahir dismissed him in the 16th over. On the other side, Kohler-Cadmore kept hitting, eventually scoring 92 runs off 50 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes.
